Fallout New Vegas A World Of Pain Locations

Fallout New Vegas A World of Pain Locations

A World of Pain (AWOP) is a popular mod for Fallout: New Vegas that adds about 170 new and intense locations to the wasteland filled with enemies and loot. They vary from small gas stations to huge maze-like sewers and derelict factories. The mod also adds several days of new gameplay possibilities, filled with quests, NPCs with dialogue, vendors and some of the toughest enemies you will ever encounter. In this article, we will explore some of the most notable locations added by AWOP and how to access them.

Goodsprings Abandoned Shack

This location is one of the first ones you can encounter in AWOP, as it is located in Goodsprings, near the Prospector Saloon. The shack is home to a group of raiders who have kidnapped a girl named Eliza. You can either rescue her or join the raiders, depending on your choices. The shack also contains a hidden basement that leads to an underground complex filled with more enemies and loot. You can find a key to the basement on one of the raiders or pick the lock.

Hidden Valley Bunker

The Hidden Valley Bunker is a well-known location in the vanilla game, as it is the headquarters of the Brotherhood of Steel. However, AWOP adds a new twist to this location by adding a secret entrance to a deeper level of the bunker, where you can find a mysterious merchant named The Dealer. He sells rare and powerful weapons and armor, but he also has a dark secret that you can uncover by doing his quests. The deeper level also contains more enemies and loot, as well as some clues about The Dealer's past.

Underground

The Underground is a massive new linked complex that spans across several locations in AWOP. It is accessed by finding hidden manholes or doors in various places, such as Primm, Nipton, Novac, Freeside, Camp McCarran and more. The Underground is home to many factions, such as the Tunnelers, the Tech Raiders, the Scavengers and the Slavers. It also contains many quests, NPCs with dialogue, vendors and some of the toughest enemies in the game. The Underground is not for the faint of heart, as it is easy to get lost or overwhelmed by the dangers lurking in the dark.

Other Locations

These are just some of the locations added by AWOP, but there are many more to discover and explore. Some of them are connected to existing quests or locations in the vanilla game, while others are completely new and original. Some examples are:

  • The Abandoned BoS Bunker: A bunker near Cottonwood Cove that was once used by the Brotherhood of Steel, but was abandoned after a failed experiment. It contains many traps, robots and secrets.

  • The Devil's Throat: A huge crater near Jacobstown that is filled with radiation and deathclaws. It also contains a hidden cave that leads to a vault where you can find a powerful weapon called The Faderator.

  • The Redoubt: A fortified base near Nelson that is occupied by a group of mercenaries called The Reckoners. They are hostile to anyone who approaches their territory and have access to advanced weapons and armor.

  • The Vault: A vault near Searchlight that was never finished and was used as a dumping ground for toxic waste. It contains many mutated creatures and hazards, as well as some valuable loot.

These are just some examples of the locations added by AWOP, but there are many more to discover and explore. AWOP is a mod that adds a lot of content and challenge to Fallout: New Vegas, making it a more immersive and diverse experience. If you are looking for a new way to enjoy the game, you should definitely give it a try.
